Welcome to the future.
What if? Humanity has some problems. Big problems. Climate change, genetic engineering, the rise of Big Tech, the advent of artificial intelligence, and worst of all, we just can’t seem to get along. What if we were to try our best to see things from other people’s perspectives? To empathize with them, and to see if maybe there’s something about their position that we were missing. To tackle these problems, and avoid blind spots we’re going to need open minds equipped with critical thinking skills, scientific acumen, and a solid grasp of how people approach life. Politics, religion, economics, and ethics all play pivotal roles in how we think. Developing these skills and perspectives will take a lifetime to develop. But you have to start somewhere. That somewhere is here. Welcome to Philosophy and Biology for the Future.
